The Active Progress Spiral is an illustration of how the body and mind naturally resolves a challenge. By progressing through the survival response to a place of safety and cognitive reflection, then finally implementing physical action.
The Challenge can be defined as anything that creates fear or pain, including an overwhelming experience such as trauma.
This illustration is a map that has helped my patients tap into a natural healing process innate to our nervous systems, and it is the main foundation of my framework: Focal Neurocognitive and Physioemotional Integration.
